Looking for a wine estate to visit in Banyuls? Treat yourself to a walk through the vineyards of Banyuls at Domaine de la Casa Blanca – Nénu, founded in 1870. This iconic place opens its doors to you in the heart of the Côte Vermeille, between turquoise sea and steep hills. On its 8 hectares of schist terraces, shaped by hand over generations, the estate cultivates old vines with patience, in deep respect for the terroir and the environment. No synthetic products are used here: grazing, winch work, and ancestral know-how guide every action, in harmony with nature.
During this walk, you’ll discover a breathtaking landscape where twisted vines tell the story of a resilient vineyard, shaped by the wind and the Mediterranean sun. It’s an invitation to slow down, observe, and understand the richness of a living soil.
The visit continues with a friendly tasting of the estate’s natural wines, crafted without shortcuts or compromises. These sincere, lively wines express the full uniqueness of the place and the sensibility of those who cultivate it. This is a 3-hour experience that includes a guided walk through the historic Banyuls vineyards, a discovery of the cellar and the winemaking process, and a commented tasting of 6 to 10 of the estate's natural wines. The tasting is accompanied by tapas made with local and artisanal products, and you will have the opportunity for a direct exchange with the winemaker.
The activity requires a minimum of 5 and can accommodate a maximum of 12 people. You must book at least 7 days in advance. Please note that transportation to the Domaine de la Casa Blanca, is not included. While wine is not sold during the tasting, it is possible to purchase some afterwards.
The experience is designed for a small group, offering an intimate and immersive exploration of the terraced vineyards on foot. The walk involves navigating steep hills and schist terraces, so a reasonable level of mobility is required. It is a perfect activity for those interested in natural wines, artisanal methods, and a deep connection with the terroir.
