On the balcony of Canigó, in the Conflent, Mas Llossanes farms its vines organically and biodynamically on granite arenas and schist. This guided oenorando of 7.5 km links the estate to the hilltop village of Eus, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, then returns, before a tasting of the estate's wines.
Mas Llossanes, a biodynamic high-altitude vineyard in the Conflent
A family estate of 11 hectares, Mas Llossanes has been farmed since 2016 using organic agriculture and biodynamic principles, in a preserved environment. Some plots are ploughed with a draft horse. Its soils of granite arenas and schist carry Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Cinsault, as well as two rarer grape varieties, Chasan and Chenanson. The vinifications above all seek purity of fruit and the expression of the terroir.
The route: from Mas Llossanes to the hilltop village of Eus
An out-and-back of about 7.5 km, between 260 and 420 m in altitude, to be covered in 2 hours. The path crosses garrigue and vines, with Canigó in the background, up to the village of Eus. The climbs are steady and without technical difficulty: the hike is suitable for beginner walkers. The guide accompanies the group both on the way there and on the way back.
Eus, a hilltop village facing Canigó
Clinging to the hillside above the Têt valley, Eus steps its stone alleyways up to the church of Saint-Vincent, which overlooks the village. Listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, it is reputed to be one of the sunniest villages in the country and offers an open view over Canigó and the Conflent.
Practical information
The hike is accompanied by a guide, for groups of 2 to 12 people. Departure and return are at the estate, and the exact meeting point is sent to you after booking.
When to do this hike?
Spring and autumn offer the most pleasant conditions, with Canigó often snow-capped until May. Shade is scarce along the route and Eus is very sunny: in summer, set off early in the morning and plan to bring plenty of water.
Back at Mas Llossanes, the walk ends with a tasting of the estate's wines and a moment of exchange with the winegrowers about their high-altitude vineyard.

Our approach
Another way to discover the Catalan vineyards
At Viny'aquí, we believe wine is also discovered on foot. Our oenorandos connect landscapes, terroirs and human encounters along accessible, authentic routes.
This experience in Pyrénées-Orientales helps you understand how the winegrowers work a land shaped by wind, stone and sea — favouring soft mobility and support for local producers.
Your guide
Julien
Passionate about the landscapes of Roussillon and the connections between nature and viticulture, I accompany you on wine hikes designed as genuine immersive experiences, to help you disconnect and reconnect. Between hiking, local culture, and visits to wine estates, I design each itinerary to offer a balance between the pleasure of walking, discovering the terroir, and moments of sharing. My goal: to offer a simple, accessible, and authentic approach to wine tourism, where you take the time to understand both the landscapes you cross and the wines you taste.
