Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes
Mountain viticulture between vines, firs, and Cathar history
Higher up in the Fenouillèdes, Caudiès offers a mid-mountain wine landscape, between vines, forests, and streams. The vineyard is located on schist and clay-limestone lands, often in terraces, at more than 300m altitude.
The red wines born there are marked by an alpine freshness and mineral tension uncommon in Roussillon. These are auteur wines, often organic, crafted by small passionate producers.
Caudiès seduces travelers in search of quietude, nature, and authenticity. Its Cathar heritage, preserved landscapes, and winding wine routes make it a little gem for taste explorers.
