At the foot of the Força Réal massif, Domaine La Beille cultivates its vines organically on the slopes of Corneilla-la-Rivière, facing the Roussillon plain. This guided 12 km wine hike links the estate's plots to the Hermitage of Força Réal, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Pyrénées-Orientales, then returns via another slope to a tasting of the estate's wines.
Domaine La Beille, an organic vineyard at the foot of Força Réal
Founded in 2005 and farmed organically since 2010, Domaine La Beille is a family vineyard located on schist and rounded pebble soils, regularly swept by the tramontane. Harvesting is entirely by hand, and some of the plots are old vines. Grenache noir, blanc and gris, Carignan, Syrah, Macabeu, Muscat d'Alexandrie and Muscat petits grains make up the grape varieties. The estate produces both dry wines and natural sweet wines, the two faces of Roussillon that you will find at the tasting.
The route: from the vines of Corneilla-la-Rivière to the Hermitage of Força Réal
The loop starts at the estate, at an altitude of less than 100 m, and climbs gradually through the vines and then the garrigue. As you go up, the view opens onto the Têt plain. The final section, the steepest, leads to the hermitage, perched at almost 500 m. After a break at the summit, the descent takes another slope of the massif back to the estate: you never retrace the same path.
Força Réal, a balcony between Têt and Agly
The Força Réal massif separates the Têt valley from the Agly valley. Its name recalls the royal fortress that once occupied the summit, where the hermitage and its chapel now stand. On clear days, the panorama is one of the most complete in the department: the Roussillon plain and the Mediterranean on one side, the Canigó and the Pyrenees range on the other, and the Corbières to the north.
Practical information
The hike is led by a guide, for groups of 2 to 12 people. The route ranges between 84 and 495 m in altitude; the climb to the hermitage is sustained but without technical difficulty. Departure and arrival take place at the estate, and the exact meeting point is sent to you after booking.
When to do this hike?
Spring and autumn are the best seasons: mild temperatures, vines in leaf or in their harvest colours, clear air to enjoy the panorama. In summer, the route has little shade: prefer an early start and carry plenty of water. In winter, clear days often offer the finest views of the snow-capped Canigó, but the tramontane can blow strongly at the summit.
Back at the estate, the walk ends with a tasting of La Beille wines and a time to talk with the winegrowers about their terroir and their way of working.

- 11.5 km hike departing from the estate, with the GPX track of the route
- Tasting of the estate's wines at the end of the hike

Recommendations
- Closed walking shoes, 1.5 litres of water per person, a hat and sunscreen: the route offers little shade in summer. Avoid the hottest hours in July and August and stay on the marked paths, in the middle of the vineyard plots. The last section up to the hermitage is the steepest: take your time.

Passionate about the landscapes of Roussillon and the connections between nature and viticulture, I accompany you on wine hikes designed as genuine immersive experiences, to help you disconnect and reconnect. Between hiking, local culture, and visits to wine estates, I design each itinerary to offer a balance between the pleasure of walking, discovering the terroir, and moments of sharing.
