Discover Vingrau and the wild landscapes of Roussillon on an easy hike to the Gouleyrous Gorges, just 30 minutes from Perpignan. Starting from Domaine Torredemer-Mangin, this 6 km route takes you through the vineyards, the garrigue and the emblematic limestone landscapes of Vingrau.

Accompanied by your guide, you set off to discover nature, biodiversity and local heritage. The route takes you notably close to the Caune de l’Arago, the famous prehistoric site of Tautavel, where archaeological research has shed light on the earliest human occupations of the region. The Caune is closed to the public, but it is still possible to make the climb. Please note, the ascent is strenuous! It remains optional!

After about 1 hour of walking, the hike concludes near the Gouleyrous Gorges, carved by the Verdouble at the foot of the limestone cliffs. This spectacular natural site offers a lovely interlude in the heart of the Roussillon landscapes, with the possibility of enjoying some free time by the water and, depending on conditions, swimming in the gorges..

Back at the estate, the experience ends with a tasting of the wines of Domaine Torredemer-Mangin. After travelling through the landscapes and vineyards of the area, you will be able to discover the estate’s cuvées and talk with the winemaker about his work and his terroir.

An ideal experience to combine hiking, wine tourism, discovery of landscapes and heritage, and wine tasting in the Pyrénées-Orientales, with family, friends or as a couple.
