Ansignan sits in the Fenouillèdes, in the basin of the Agly. This more inland area benefits from interesting day-night temperature swings: wines keep a precious freshness even in a very sunny climate.

The terroir is a patchwork of slopes and exposures, often stony, producing structured reds and more chiselled whites. Typical blends combine Grenache, Carignan and Syrah, with winemaking increasingly oriented toward organic and natural approaches.
