Discover Vingrau and the wild landscapes of Roussillon on an easy hike to the Gorges du Gouleyrous, just 30 minutes from Perpignan. Starting from Domaine Torredemer-Mangin, this 6 km route takes you through the vineyards, the garrigue, and the iconic limestone landscapes of Vingrau.
Accompanied by your guide, you will set off to discover the nature, biodiversity, and local heritage. The route notably takes you close to the Caune de l'Arago, the famous prehistoric site of Tautavel, where archaeological research has helped better understand the first human occupations of the region. The Caune is closed to the public, but it is still possible to make the ascent. Be careful, the climb is challenging! It remains optional!
After about 1 hour of walking, the hike concludes at the Gorges du Gouleyrous, carved by the Verdouble at the foot of the limestone cliffs. This spectacular natural site offers a beautiful interlude in the heart of the Roussillon landscapes, with the possibility of enjoying free time by the water and, depending on conditions, swimming in the gorges..
Back at the estate, the experience ends with a wine tasting of Domaine Torredemer-Mangin. After exploring the landscapes and vineyards of the area, you will be able to discover the estate's cuvées and chat with the winemaker about their work and terroir.
An ideal experience for combining hiking, wine tourism, discovery of landscapes and heritage, and wine tasting in the Pyrénées-Orientales, with family, friends, or as a couple.
