In the Roussillon plain, the pebble and alluvial terroirs give rise to fruity rosés and reds, as well as Mediterranean whites (macabeu, grenache blanc) that retain a lovely freshness. For another style, take a detour to Rivesaltes, famous for its natural sweet wines.
