Organic wine tourism in Port-Barcarès
Between pond, sea, and vineyards in reconquest
Famous for its beached liner, the Lydia, Port-Barcarès is also a municipality turned towards nature, with its ponds, wetlands, and dunes. While vines are less present here than elsewhere, sandy terroirs around the pond are conducive to experimenting with light and floral wines. A few local producers are striving to revive ecological viticulture and create atypical wine tourism experiences, notably around local food, short circuits, and seafood-wine pairings. An ideal place to discover a discreet but promising viticulture.
